Families with children in 5th grade and younger are welcome to enjoy a night of fellowship and food as we celebrate the first day of Advent together! Along with dinner, there will also be some fun Advent activities for the whole family!

Big Events in October!

We have some really exciting events this month I don't want you to miss!



It's not too late to sign up for our High School Leadership Retreat at Mt. Cross over the weekend of Oct. 16 - 18! This is a great opportunity to get away from a while and meet other high school youth from all over Northern California. The theme is "More Jesus in More Places." We'll be focusing on how we are always connected to God and each other no matter where we are! The cost is $125 but the experience is priceless!!



Also for high school students, sign up for the Sinisterium and Conover Mystery Ranch at Swank Farms in Hollister, CA on Friday, Oct. 23rd from 7:00pm - 11:00pm! We are going to brave the corn maze and everything else haunted that's around! I need you to sign up so I know how many drivers we'll need! Cost = $20


New Life Band will be here performing on Saturday, Oct. 24th at 7:00pm in the church. This is an awesome, free concert for ALL AGES! Enjoy this wonderful band from Tanzania. Come, here their stories and their great music!!

Week of 10/6 - 10/13

Our usual weekly schedule continues with Confirmation on Wednesday night from 7:00pm - 8:30pm.
  • 1st Year students will focus on the Lord's Prayer with the lesson, "A Holy Name."
  • 2nd Year students will focus on the Ten Commandments with the lesson, "Protect Property"
  • 3rd Year students will begin a new focus on the Apostles Creed, beginning with the first article. Please welcome Pastor Warner who will join us with an explanation about this creed and hopefully some great stories!
Thursday continues with Youth Choir for 7th - 12th graders at 5:30pm - 6:30pm in the choir room.
Faith Journeys continues meeting on Thursday nights for 9th - 12th graders.
  • 6:30pm - 7:30pm gives us an hour for coffee talk at the local Peet's
  • 7:30pm - 8:30pm brings us back to church for an hour of Lectio Divina. Don't know what Lectio is about? Join us and see! Our group has been growing and we have had some amazing conversations over the past few weeks!
Remember that all Sunday School and Not-Sunday-School is meeting on Sundays at 9:30am for all ages! Hope to see you there!

Monday night is High School Hang Out night!!! If you're in 9th - 12th grades, come hang out with us, play games, listen to music, talk, whatever. It's just time to hang out together in the youth room from 7:00pm - 8:30pm.

This is a day-long instruction for those in grades Pre-K—8th grade who are interested in learning more about the sacrament of Holy Communion.
Please sign up ASAP by contacting Casey.

You can also sign up by contacting the church office.
• Pre-K—K instruction will broken up on Saturday from 10:00am—12:00am and after church on Sunday from 12:30pm—2:00pm.
• All other grades will attend the day-long instruction from 10:00am—3:00pm on Saturday.
• First Communion will take place on Sunday at the worship service of your family’s choosing.

High School Parents & Youth Planning Mtg.!!!

Hey every youth and parent in 9th grade and up, you are invited to a BIG-BRAINstorm on Saturday, Aug. 29th at 10:30am in the youth room! Please mark your calendars and plan on joining us as we look at the next two years, imagine the possibilities in store for us, and share all of the ways we can possibly make it happen!

Remember, this is a meeting for high school youth and parents. For all youth and parents involved in younger grades, keep on the look out for your big-brainstorming chance.

@ 6:30 pm ~ Peet's Coffee & Tea on Cochrane: We use this time to talk about life and God and basically just get together!
@ 7:30 pm ~ Youth Room 1: Here we get more serious about hearing God's Word in our lives through the ancient practice of Lectio Divina. We focus on one passage from scripture and learn to listen together. Come check it out!

Family Book Club - Saturday, 7/11
For anybody! We'll meet in Youth Room 1
Come and talk about The Shack. If you've recently read this book, you may enjoy the opportunity to talk about it. What did you like about it? What did you agree with or disagree with? Why? Let's talk about it together!

Getting Ready FINAL Session - Monday, 7/13
For everybody going to New Orleans for the National Youth Gathering
This final Getting Ready session will play an important role in our trip! If you are a youth or adult on their way to New Orleans, this session is mandatory! PLEASE BE THERE! Please speak with me if you cannot make it.
